PayPal transaction data files

Periodically you download your PayPal transaction data file for your  account detailing all of the transactions for a given period.  If you ever took a look at this data file, you know it's no trivial task trying to figure out your approvals, refunds, etc. for each Order Manager order.   

On top of all this, you have a daunting and time consuming task reconciling your PayPal transaction data file with your Order Manager orders and transactions.  If you do not reconcile your PayPal transactions with Order Manager transactions, you could be loosing money and not even know it.  Or, there could be other issues you should address like missing payments, refunds, etc.

The PPR handles this for you in a seamless, integrated, and easy to use reporting module.  The reports are detailed, yet easy to use and understand.  After using PPR a few times, you'll wonder how you were ever able to reconcile your PayPal transaction files without the  PPR.  What took you hours to do, now can be done in matter of minutes.

PayPal reconciliation reports

The PayPal Reconciliation reports (PPR) add-on for Communiqué comes with 4 essential reports (more on the way).  These reports are grouped into 2 sections: PayPal Reconciliation and Order Manager reports.

Credit Card Reconciliation

1. Data File Listings:  The Date File Listing report will list all PayPal data files imported into the PPR.  This way you will know if any credit card settlement files are missing.

2. Transaction Reconciliation:  The Transaction Reconciliation report will match Order Manger transactions to your PayPal transaction data file.  Transaction discrepancies are highlighted in red when there is an undercharge or highlighted in green for an overcharge for easy identification.  Transaction amounts in Order Manager will be compared to transaction in the credit card settlement file and the result displayed in the "Variance" column.

Order Manager:

1. Order Summary:  The Order Summary report provides you with a true net profit for each PayPal sale in Order Manager because the PPR uses the net payment less any fees.  Using the net payment reported by PayPal along with product and shipping costs from Order Manager, you will be able to see your true net profit for each PayPal sale.  The report also displays a grand total for the report so you will be able to see the true profit for each statement as well.

2. Order Reconciliation:  The Order Reconciliation report will match Order Manger orders and transactions to your PayPal transactions data file.  Orders missing payment will be highlighted in red and overpayments will be highlighted in green for easy identification.

Order Reconciliation report in PDF format

A sample report showing Order Manager Orders with a PayPal payment type for a specified date range.  This report will match transactions from your PayPal statement to respective Order Manager orders.  Orders with no "Trans ID" means you have not been paid for the sale, and orders with a "Trans ID" but with a colored value in the "Variance" column means there is a discrepancy between Order Manager and your PayPal statement.  You may need to investigate these discrepancies further in order to determine why there is a variance between Order Manager and your PayPal statement.

Order Summary report in PDF format

A sample report showing the true net profit for each PayPal sale and report grand totals showing the true net profit for the PayPal statement period.  This report takes the PayPal fees into account when determining the profit and margin for each sale and each statement period.
